Before - A rental apartment with a boring brown backsplash.
After - I covered the tile with sticky removable wallpaper that can be peeled off when the renter moves. I also changed the silver cabinet knobs with inexpensive glass knobs.
Painting a found tablE
Before - I found this table in the garbage. It has beautiful lines.
First I sanded the table. This helps the paint grip the wood.
Then I primed the table. It's okay to skip this step. You will probably need one or two more coats of paint if you do.
I used furniture paint after the primer.
After - The finished table. Cute!
Before - My necklaces were hanging in my closet on nails. They were hard to get to and became tangled.
I used twine and oversized rustic nails to create a necklace hanger for a bedroom wall.
I tied the twine around the nail.
After - Easy on, easy off
Before - There is too much negative space above the T.V. I didn't want to hang art up thinking it would distract from what's on the telly. Small ferns will fill out the space and add a little life to the living room.
I used twine to make plant hanger by wrapping it around the bottom of the plastic pot. You could also poke two holes at the top with scissors and tie each piece of twine together at the top to make the loop for the hooks.
